Dr. P. V. Ramana Murthy (PV) is qualified in Law, Advanced Human Resource Management, Executive Coaching, Transformational Leadership and Change Management. He is an alumni of INSEAD and has a Ph.D in Strategic Human Resource Management.
Dr. Murthy currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Global Head – Human Resources at the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), the finest hospitality chain and the oldest company of the prestigious Tata Group. As member of the Senior Leadership team at IHCL, Dr. Murthy handles a broad spectrum of initiatives aligned to Leadership Development, Organizational Culture, Sustainability, Strategy, Ethics and Tata Business Excellence across 175 hotels spanning 4 continents. He also heads Human Resources function for other Group Companies like, Roots Corporation (Ginger Hotels) and Taj SATS, which is a JV partnership company with Singapore Airlines.
Before joining Taj, Dr. Murthy served The Coca-Cola Company in various capacities for a period of 15 years. At the time of leaving the company, he was the Executive Director – Human Resources for Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), India and Bangladesh, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Bottling Investments Group of The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC).
PV, as he is fondly called by his friends and colleagues is a passionate writer and a Senior Faculty Member at Josh Bersin Academy (JBA). He has been recognized as a Level 1 Thought Leader by JBA recently. Being a qualified practitioner coach from Noble Manhattan and, a certified enneagram and immunity change coach he believes in unlocking human potential and helping organizations to succeed. He is passionate about developing people on emotional Intelligence, mindfulness, leadership, culture and change management.
