Breaking barriers and bias of discrimination and racism: A thought-provoking discussion on addressing bias, prejudices and discriminatory behaviour -focussing on how we can move forward.

Sile O’Donnell is a HR and OD consultant, Training Specialist with Public Affairs Ireland and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in HRM and organisational behaviour in Trinity College Dublin. Sile is a chartered fellow member of the CIPD since 2003, and she has extensive qualifications in HR.  Sile has 28 years’ experience in numerous senior HR and OD roles in the public sector. She provides HR, OD and L&D services to public sector organisations. She has a passion for diversity, equality and inclusion, and has delivered numerous training programmes to promote inclusion, reduce discrimination and bias, and enable better HR practice. Her programmes include  equality and unconscious bias training for interviewers, equality, diversity and inclusion training and HR accredited training. She has also developed equality and diversity polices and OD programmes for many organisations, and she has provided expert advice and consultancy on equality issues to organisations and individuals. Sile chairs the PAI annual HR conference, and the theme of the 2020 conference was ‘Building Inclusive Healthy Workplace Cultures’.
